Origami Elephant

“One Morning I shot an elephant in pyjamas. How he got into my pyjamas I’ll never know.”

About the World Record Attempt

OrigamiUSA have teamed up with the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest display of origami elephants. They are trying to get to 35,000 elephants – one for each of the elephants tragically killed every year for their ivory.

Get Involved

You can help OrigamiUSA and WCS achieve the record by folding an elephant and submitting it. I’m a little late to the party in promoting this one, as elephants have to be sent in to arrive by September 16, 2016, but there is still time if you act quickly!

Choosing your Elephant

There are four different elephant designs to choose from, of varying difficulty levels.  Two are easy, two are moderate. There are diagrams and video instructions for folding each of the four designs on this link.

The one pictured is listed as a moderate, or intermediate level model, however the video instructions provided are excellent and nobody should have any problems folding this model from the video in about fifteen minutes

Whichever elephant you choose, I’m sure OrigamiUSA and WCS will appreciate your contribution.

Good luck folding your elephant!
